A New Step Forward in Disaster Medicine Education
Republic of San Marino 3-5 July 2026
CEMEC is pleased to support and co-organize, together with the World Association for Disaster and Emergency Medicine (WADEM) Students & Young Professionals SIG Leadership, the launch of the first Disaster Medicine Summer School, taking place in the Republic of San Marino from 3–5 July 2026.This initiative represents more than a training opportunity.
It is a space where knowledge, practice, and international collaboration meet, bringing together students, young professionals, and experienced experts in a truly dynamic learning environment.
Over three intensive days, participants will be immersed in a structured and dynamic learning experience combining simulations, expert-led sessions, and real-world perspectives on emergency and disaster response. More importantly, they will become part of an international environment designed to encourage dialogue, exchange, and collaboration.
A special acknowledgment goes to World Association for Disaster and Emergency Medicine (WADEM), Counter-Terrorism Medicine Europe, Aidana Sissenberdiyeva, whose leadership and dedication have been instrumental in shaping this project, together with colleagues including Andrew Shanes, Jared D. Erb, Morgan Davis, M.D., Miracle Ifeoluwani Abraham, Wyatt Blackstone, Mel Ebeling, MD, Ryan Leone, MSc, Hasan Yücel, Ilana Shecter
