A New Step Towards a Safer World – Together with the OPCW

I was honoured to join the 30th Session of the Conference of the States Parties (CSP-30) to the Chemical Weapons Convention in The Hague. It was an important moment to connect with OPCW colleagues and explore new paths for collaboration on chemical safety, preparedness, and response. In today’s complex global landscape, joining expertise and efforts remains essential. CSP-30 brought together 193 Member States, as well as representatives from international organisations, industry, and civil society, to review progress, discuss challenges, and look ahead to the future of chemical security and peaceful uses of chemistry.
