Some places carry a unique energy, the kind that reminds us why we do what we do. Being at the United Nations Headquarters in Geneva, in the very heart of international humanitarian action, was one of those moments for us.Often described as the humanitarian capital of the world, Geneva is where diplomacy, science, and solidarity converge to address crises that know no borders. Walking through the Palais des Nations, where health policies, peace dialogues, and humanitarian strategies take shape, was both humbling and inspiring.
For us, this was more than a visit. It was a chance to connect, to exchange, and to reaffirm the central role that disaster medicine must play in global security and resilience. From health emergencies to CBRN threats, from natural hazards to complex crises, the discussions held here ripple far beyond Geneva, reaching the communities that need them most.
