CEMEC Winter School 2026: three days in the Republic of San Marino dedicated to learning, discussing, and preparing for the complex emergencies of today and tomorrow.

The Winter School will focus on ten key areas:
1. Health Security, Emerging Threats & Strategic Preparedness
2. Emergency & Disaster Medicine
3. Emergency Medical Teams & International Health Emergency Response
4. CBRNe Risk Management - Responder Safety & Security
5. Simulation, Tabletop Exercises & Full-Scale Response
6. Forensic Medicine, Disaster Victims Identification & Complex Casualty Management
7. Civil–Military Cooperation, Humanitarian Assistance & Institutional Coordination
8. One Health Approach, Protection of Vulnerable Populations, Psychosocial Support & Bioethics in Emergencies
9. Counter-Terrorism, Operational Safety & Personal Protective Equipment
10. Medical Logistics, Antidotes & Emergency Stockpiles
The programme will bring together experts and representatives from the World Health Organization, the Council of Europe and other international organisations and institutions, alongside universities, emergency services and specialist organisations.
The Winter School connects disciplines too often addressed separately and translates knowledge into preparedness through expert sessions, multidisciplinary exchange, simulations and operational exercises.
Three days, ten interconnected areas, one shared objective: strengthening preparedness for increasingly complex emergencies.
𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻 for a limited number of 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 supporting participation in the 𝗖𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗖 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹.
