Collaboration Between the University of San Marino and CEMEC Reaffirmed at the Inauguration of the Academic Year

During the inauguration of the 2025/2026 Academic Year, the University of the Republic of San Marino celebrated not only a new academic beginning but also the remarkable growth achieved over the past year.In front of the Captains Regent, students, professors, and institutional guests, Rector Professor Corrado Petrocelli shared a message of confidence and pride in the University’s expanding role on the national and international stage. The ceremony also featured an inspiring lecture by Professor Luciano Canfora.
While presenting the impressive results reached in research, training, and institutional initiatives, Rector Petrocelli recalled how the University’s progress is strengthened by collaborations that bring vision, expertise, and concrete impact.
Among these, the partnership with the European Centre for Disaster Medicine, led by Professor Roberto Mugavero, faculty member, Academic Senator, and Director of the University Centre for Security Training (CUFS), continues to represent one of the most meaningful examples of shared work and common purpose.
This collaboration has contributed significantly to the University’s scientific output, specialised teaching, and European positioning.
The ceremony was an occasion to reflect on the path taken, acknowledge the people who make it possible, and renew the commitment to building knowledge and opportunities together.
