Disaster medicine, close to people.
San Marino, March 3, 2026
A university is not only a place where knowledge is built, but a living resource at the service of its community. This is exactly the spirit of the Territorial Pact of the University of the Republic of San Marino, a consultative body that brings the University into dialogue with the cultural, economic, professional, and civic life of the country. As the Rector, Prof. Corrado Petrocelli, reminded us: "We tell our story, and we put our work at the service of the territory, for growth and development."
For CEMEC, being part of this journey is a source of genuine pride.
Over the past year, we have walked side by side with the CUFS, the Centre for Security Studies, contributing to the University's Third Mission: advanced training in disaster medicine and risk management, international cooperation, and initiatives that bring research out of the laboratories and into the real life of people.
Because in the end, this is what truly matters: turning knowledge into something that genuinely serves people, institutions, and communities. In one phrase: health security, preparedness, protection of human life.
Our thanks to the University of San Marino and to all the partners of the Territorial Pact for the trust and the shared vision. The journey continues, together.
