Enhancing Healthcare Preparedness and Resilience in Disasters – Focus on CBRNe

As part of our expanded international cooperation efforts, we are pleased to announce the launch of our collaboration with the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) as part of the Dubai Disaster Medicine Programme. This step marks a significant strengthening of our global network and our support for key initiatives to ensure worker safety and public health in emergency situations.This initiative, developed in collaboration with the UAE's Medical Preparedness and Response Readiness initiative, aims to strengthen health system preparedness in disasters, following a unified and internationally accredited approach, in line with global best practices.
Among the first sessions of the program, launched at the beginning of the year, was the Advanced CBRNe Course, recently held at Dubai Police facilities. The course was designed to train healthcare professionals, first responders, and emergency teams, providing them with the skills necessary to address complex scenarios during disaster situations. Activities focused specifically on CBRNe incident response, decontamination techniques, triage, and operational management in high-risk environments.
CEMEC is truly proud to be an active participant in this initiative, providing its expertise in disaster medicine to ensure the course meets the highest standards of preparedness and response. Collaborating with leading international institutions allows us to contribute to strengthening the healthcare system, enabling it to respond quickly and effectively during crises.
Thanks also to accreditation by prestigious bodies, this program is paving the way to becoming a global reference point in health preparedness and emergency management.
The initiative not only helps strengthen the skills of health professionals, but also contributes to improving community resilience in the face of disasters by ensuring that responders and health workers are prepared to manage CBRNe incidents and other large-scale health emergencies.
