Enhancing Healthcare Preparedness and Resilience in Disasters – Focus on Disaster Management and Emergency Preparedness

How do we prepare healthcare teams to face the worst-case scenarios, mass casualties, chemical or radiological incidents, and the transfer of critically ill patients under extreme pressure?This was the central question at the Disaster Management and Emergency Preparedness course. In this intense program, surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, paramedics, and emergency specialists trained side by side, learning to manage chaos, make decisions with limited resources, and lead under pressure.
CEMEC was proud to be actively engaged in this initiative. Beyond the technical excellence, what truly stood out was the human side: professionals pushing their limits, learning from one another, and building the trust and resilience that make the difference in disaster response.
