Facts & Figures from IECM 2025 - Looking Ahead to the 2026 Edition
Dubai, April 29 - May 1, 2025
The 16th International Emergency and Catastrophe Management Conference (IECM 2025) in Dubai has been nothing short of extraordinary. As Scientific Director, it was a privilege to guide a gathering that brought together more than 5,126 participants, 72 outstanding speakers, and representatives from 52 countries and over 250 organizations and brands. Over the course of 55 sessions and workshops, knowledge, experience, and vision flowed in ways that will continue to shape how we think about resilience and preparedness. An edition made possible also thanks to the official support of the European Centre for Disaster Medicine, which strongly backed this extraordinary initiative.
This year’s theme, “Innovative Emergency Management for a Resilient Future”, framed rich discussions across health and medical response, climate change, technological innovation, and governance. Beyond the impressive numbers, what truly stood out was the spirit of collaboration, innovation, and solidarity that defined every session.
And now, the journey continues. With eyes firmly on the future, we are already preparing for the 17th edition of IECM, which will take place from 5 to 7 May 2026 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. I look forward to once again uniting experts, policymakers, and practitioners from around the world to advance our shared mission of building safer, stronger, and more resilient communities.
