Kids Save Lives: Because Saving a Life Starts Young - Who says heroes have to be grown-ups?
Rimini, March 20 and Aprile 7/8, 2025
Recently in Rimini, Italy, more than 60 fifth-grade students and their six dedicated teachers took part in the “Kids Save Lives” initiative, proudly organized by CEMEC.
Through hands-on demonstrations using cardiopulmonary resuscitation manikins and airway obstruction training tools, the children learned how to recognize a cardiac arrest, call for help, and respond effectively in case of choking. Their energy, curiosity, and genuine desire to help others transformed the classroom into a vibrant space of learning, awareness, and teamwork.
What truly moved us, however, were their drawings — colourful, expressive, and filled with emotion. Each one captured the experience in a unique and powerful way, reflecting not only what they had learned but also the care, empathy, and responsibility they felt while doing it.
One student wrote: “Now I know how to help someone.” That simple sentence speaks volumes about the impact of this project.
A heartfelt thank you goes to the teachers for their invaluable support and to all the young participants who reminded us that compassion, courage, and life-saving knowledge can begin early.
Launched in 2023, the project continues its journey — school by school, child by child — building a generation ready to act when it matters most.
