OPCW CSP30

Looking Back at the Final Months of 2025: A Meaningful Moment at OPCW CSP-30As we step into 2026, I find myself reflecting on some of the most meaningful professional moments of the final months of 2025. Among them, attending the 30th Conference of the States Parties of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in The Hague stands out as a truly significant experience.
Being part of an event that brought together hundreds of participants from across the world, diplomats, scientists, practitioners, and policy-makers, was both inspiring and humbling. The atmosphere was intense yet constructive, shaped by a shared sense of responsibility toward chemical disarmament, safety, and global health security.
This experience resonated strongly with the work we carry out, particularly in the field of training and capacity building. Seeing how education, preparedness, and operational knowledge feed directly into international dialogue and decision-making reinforces the value of investing in people, skills, and cooperation.
Moments like this are reminders that the work done in classrooms, exercises, and field activities connects directly to the highest levels of international engagement. Grateful for the opportunity to have been there, to listen, to learn, and to contribute to a collective effort that truly matters.
