We are pleased to announce the publication of the 2025 EUROMED PROTECT-NET Forum Proceedings, a comprehensive record capturing the insights, discussions, and results of this year’s international forum held in San Marino under the High Patronage of Their Excellencies the Captains Regent of the Republic of San Marino.Promoted by the European Centre for Disaster Medicine with the support of the Council of Europe, the Forum once again brought together leading experts, policymakers, and institutional representatives to strengthen disaster risk governance, health preparedness, and networking advancement across the Euro-Mediterranean region.
The 2025 edition highlights:
– Consolidation of international partnerships among EUR-OPA Specialized Centres and regional institutions.
– Innovative strategies for disaster preparedness, crisis management, and public health resilience.
– A special focus on the protection of first responders and healthcare workers in conflict and complex emergencies, drawing on the latest WHO and field-based evidence.
The publication also features official statements from San Marino authorities and the Council of Europe, thematic presentations from Specialized Centres, and a synthesis of the side event “Protecting Responders in Conflict and Complex Emergencies: Lessons Learned from Field Experience.”
