Professional relationships built through shared work often become the strongest foundations for future cooperation.A valuable meeting in Latina, Italy, with the Commander of the local Fire Brigade, renewing a professional relationship that began during his previous appointment as Commander of the Rimini Fire Brigade.
Over the years, CEMEC – European Centre for Disaster Medicine has developed close and constructive cooperation with the Italian Fire and Rescue Service, particularly in areas where emergency response, disaster medicine, operational preparedness and responder safety intersect.
Meeting again in Latina was therefore more than an institutional occasion. It was an opportunity to reconnect through a relationship grounded in mutual respect, practical experience and a shared commitment to strengthening preparedness and cooperation between professionals and institutions involved in complex emergencies.
