Look through the Threat Lens: from CBRNe to AI — a new space to understand today’s risks.
Online 2026
At CEMEC, we are proud to contribute to the Global Asymmetric Threats Report (GAT Report), a platform designed to interpret a world where risks are no longer isolated, but deeply interconnected.Understanding today's threats means looking beyond the headlines. It means spotting patterns, connecting signals, and recognizing how unconventional events can impact both people and state security, often in ways that aren't immediately obvious.
This is precisely the goal of the GAT platform.
Promoted by the Observatory on Security and CBRNE Defence (OSDIFE) and developed in collaboration with the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” – Department of Electronic Engineering (DIE), the University of the Republic of San Marino – Center for Security Studies (CUFS), and the European Centre for Disaster Medicine (CEMEC), the GAT Report provides selected and verified information on a broad spectrum of asymmetric threats.
Through its analytical approach, the platform enables an in-depth understanding of the complexity of areas such as chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear risks, explosives, emerging technologies, and terrorism, not as isolated categories, but as part of a broader and ever-evolving landscape.
At the same time, the global threat map offers a dynamic view of how these risks are developing across different regions of the world—from North America to Latin America, Europe to the MENA region, and across Africa, Asia, and Oceania—reminding us that today's threats know no borders.
In this interconnected context, awareness becomes a strategic tool.
At CEMEC, we believe that strengthening preparedness means first and foremost understanding. And understanding requires precisely this: a multidimensional, global, and constantly updated perspective.
The GAT Report isn't just about observing threats. It's a tool for anticipating them, together.
