Training Health Professionals Beyond the Textbook

Being part of the Basic Medical Preparedness and Response workshop at Fujairah University was one of those moments that clearly reminds us why we do what we do.Training went beyond theory, with Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) graduates stepping into realistic situations that asked for teamwork, clear thinking, and confidence. CEMEC was glad to take an active role in a course where hands-on practice helped students learn together and grow together.
What really mattered was the students’ energy, curiosity, and professionalism. It showed that preparedness is learned, but truly built through practice.
Thank you to Dr. Corrien Van Belkum, Director of Academic Affairs, Fujairah University, the Readiness & Medical Response Program, and everyone involved. This kind of learning makes a real difference, and it’s always a pleasure for CEMEC to be part of it.
