Where Science, Disaster Medicine, and Justice Meet
St. Lucia November 6-8, 2025
CEMEC had the privilege of contributing to the 9th Annual Medicolegal and Forensic Symposium in St. Lucia, one of the region’s most respected forums for dialogue between law, medicine, and forensic science. Our participation reflects CEMEC’s growing engagement across the globe, strengthening international partnerships through science, training, and capacity building.
Representing our Centre, Dr. Enrico Risso, Forensic Pathologist and CBRNe/DVI expert, delivered a highly appreciated presentation on the forensic aspects of CBRNe incidents and complex scenarios where emergency response, forensic investigation, and judicial systems must operate in full synergy. His contribution highlighted the need for rigorous methodology, coordination, and scientific precision to safeguard both public safety and judicial integrity.
The symposium gathered judges, prosecutors, forensic specialists, clinicians, and policymakers, all united by a shared commitment to quality, accountability, and continuous professional development.
For CEMEC, this exchange fully aligns with our mission: advancing scientific rigor, supporting evidence-based justice, and strengthening preparedness in high-risk environments.
A sincere thank you to the organizers and to Dr. Enrico Risso for representing our Centre with professionalism and dedication.
