Disaster Medicine Forum Draws Over 50 Medical ProfessionalsThe European Centre for Disaster Medicine and Sheikh Khalifa Hospital teamed up to organize in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates, an important meeting about handling disasters. More than 50 doctors and nurses gathered to work together and improve how we get ready for and respond to disasters.
The meeting focused on managing medical care during emergencies and significant issues. Well-known medical experts discussed various ideas and approaches to dealing with unexpected challenges during disasters.
This event showed how dedicated the European Centre for Disaster Medicine and Sheikh Khalifa Hospital are to making healthcare systems stronger worldwide. Some of the topics covered were how to organize patients, use resources well, give mental health support, and use new technology to help during disasters.
Prof. Adel Adel Alshamry Alajami, President at National Disaster medicine Centre, spoke at the meeting. He said, "The meeting wasn't just about sharing information. It also helped people connect and make partnerships with others who work in disaster medicine.
Through workshops, discussions, and talks, the participants learned new strategies to handle healthcare in disasters. The success of this meeting goes beyond Fujairah. It shows how important it is for groups and professionals worldwide to keep learning and working together to handle tough situations.
