Online Workshop: Safe Birth Assistance in Disasters
The European Centre for Disaster Medicine (CEMEC) is pleased to announce an online workshop titled "Safe Birth Assistance in Disasters," taking place on June 17, 2024, from 16:00 to 18:00 CET.
Childbirth during disasters poses unique challenges that require specific knowledge and skills to ensure the safety of both mother and child. This two-hour seminar aims to equip healthcare professionals and emergency responders with essential techniques and strategies for managing childbirth in crisis scenarios.
The event is tailored for doctors, nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, disaster management professionals, humanitarian aid workers, and volunteers.
Participants will gain insights on coping with catastrophe, emergency childbirth procedures, and ensuring vital care for mothers and newborns.
Speakers include Roberto Mugavero, President of the European Centre for Disaster Medicine, Robin Lim, Midwife and Founder of Bumi Sehat Foundation, Ivana Arena, Midwife and Trainer in Obstetric Emergencies, and Massimo Alosi, Pediatrician and Neonatal Resuscitation Instructor.
Attendance is free of charge, and participants will receive a certificate upon completion.
