Prehospital Trauma Care Advanced PTC course

Goals:The Prehospital Trauma Care course of the Italian Resuscitation Council arises from the need to develop a method of approaching and treating the traumatized patient in the pre-hospital phase, based on the best available evidence and suited to the national situation, in which the intervention is often ensured by personnel with uneven skills. In order for the health intervention to bring about advantages, the operators must have absolute mastery of all the foreseen maneuvers and must be placed in an organizational context which offers the traumatized person the possibility of rapidly making use of the best resources.
The PTC course provides tools to understand the trauma phenomenon and improve the level of competence of the professionals involved in the management of the traumatized, with the aim of getting the patient to the most suitable hospital in the shortest time, alive and in the best conditions possible.
