A powerful few days with Euro-Mediterranean partners and friends
San Marino 22-23 May 2025
The EUROMED PROTECT-NET Forum, led by CEMEC – European Centre for Disaster Medicine, brought together the Directors of the Council of Europe’s Specialized Centres on Major Risks, Permanent Representatives, and experts in disaster risk, emergency response, and health preparedness. As Mr. Krzysztof Zyman, Executive Secretary of the Council of Europe’s Major Hazards Agreement, reminded us:
“Bringing everyone together like this is essential. It allows us to exchange experiences, share best practices, and work on joint projects. The goal of our network is to make sure that what works in one country can benefit others. By working together, our impact across Europe becomes much stronger.”
And that’s exactly what this forum achieved.
From strategic discussions to hands-on engagement with first responders, it was all about building meaningful cooperation, especially for the unique needs of small states.
A heartfelt thank you to all our partners, including the University of the Republic of San Marino, and to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean for their warm and generous hospitality.
Here’s to continuing the work, together.
