CEMEC at the OPCW Symposium - Advancing Chemical Emergency PreparednessWe are proud to share the active participation of the European Centre for Disaster Medicine at the recent Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) Symposium, held during the 22nd Scientific Congress of the Asia Pacific Association of Medical Toxicology - APAMT 2024 in Penang, Malaysia.
The Symposium brought together leading experts from around the world to tackle key issues in chemical preparedness and emergency response. CEMEC contributed to the discussion with the presentation "Chemistry and Disaster Resilience – Focus Chemical Emergency, Preparedness and Response," showcasing practical solutions and collaborative models designed to strengthen our ability to manage chemical emergencies effectively and safeguard public health.
This event highlighted the importance of international cooperation in disaster medicine and chemical emergency response, perfectly aligning with CEMEC’s mission to enhance global health and safety through knowledge sharing and capacity building.
