Health Emergency Preparedness – A Strategic Exchange in Copenhagen

We were honored to be hosted at the WHO Regional Office for Europe headquarters in Copenhagen, where the European Centre for Disaster Medicine had the opportunity to engage in high-level discussions with the Regional Emergency Director of the WHO Health Emergency Programme.The meeting focused on advancing cooperation in health emergency preparedness, sharing expertise in disaster medicine and emergency response, exploring joint training opportunities, strengthening capacity-building initiatives, and promoting meaningful knowledge exchange. Central to the discussion was the importance of bridging operational practice with global health governance to ensure effective, coordinated responses to future health crises.
This significant dialogue lays the groundwork for impactful collaborations and reaffirms the vital role of international cooperation in strengthening resilience and preparedness in the face of emergencies.
