Kicking off the 2024 Activities Promoting Road Safety for High School Students.The inaugural session of the "Know Your Road" 2024 road safety course for first-year high school students received positive feedback for its impactful presentations and comprehensive coverage of pertinent topics delivered by the Civil Police.
This initiative, a result of collaboration between the European Centre for Disaster Medicine (CEMEC), schools and public institution, aims to cultivate a heightened sense of awareness regarding road safety among future citizens.
The Course, features representatives from various sectors engaging with students on crucial themes like risk perception, road hazards, substance abuse while driving, legal responsibilities, impulsive behaviour’s impact on physical well-being, and first aid protocols.
The overarching objective is to equip young learners with the necessary tools to recognize and evaluate risks associated with driving behaviours, fostering responsibility and civic-mindedness to contribute to safer roadways for all.
This represents a significant step toward encouraging a culture of responsible road usage among upcoming generations, emphasizing critical thinking and societal harmony.
